These guys are amazing.... I took in an area rug for cleaning, they did a beautiful job. Very happy with their customer service and the job itself. I also had one of my oriental rugs repaired and appraised. Kamran is very knowledgeable. He was able to tell me exactly how old my rug is and where it was made. I highly recommend these guys.
If you are looking for a quality oriental rug at reasonable prices, start here. We had visited the store before, and the father, Morry, was very helpful. They know a lot about oriental rugs and have a good selection right there; but, can get hundreds of other rugs in a matter of days. When I went browsing for rugs again a couple of months ago, I returned to the store knowing it would be a pleasant experience. I took five rugs home and kept one. Father and son are both very polite, reasonable, honest and flexible. A real neighborhood find.
We were looking for the perfect rug for our living room. We checked out a few places in San Francisco and also Mansoor's in Sacramento. We accidentally came across Morry's Bazaar while driving in Mid-Town. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection, kind atmosphere, and the prices.... I would say much more reasonable prices than we saw elsewhere.
Morrys knowledge about rugs and his vision for our living room was spot-on!
We are very happy with our choice and investment
My wife and I just bought three rugs here. We are very pleased. The quality is exceptional, as well as the price. Kamran is very knowledgeable and helpful, and went out of his way to give us excellent service. No high pressure sales tactics -- infact, just the opposite. Highly recommended!
Morry's looks small from the outside but has so much selection! The owner is very nice and honest! I have an old persian rug which was cleaned and repaired and now looks fantastic. We will definitely get our next rug at Morry's!
Simply the best....best selection, best service and great prices. We love morry 🙂
I had a good experience with Morry and his rugs. This place is wall-to-wall rugs! A lot of different styles - I lean towards Persian.
Feel free to haggle to get the cost down way below the tagged price. Although, FYI, these are real rugs that you can keep for years, with prices starting in the hundreds and going into the thousands. Morry told me that he does no advertising to keep the cost reasonable. The rugs are very nice and seem to be high quality. Make sure to check the hours of operation before you go, as they were closed by 5:15 pm on a weekday when I tried to go the first time.
They load into your car, deliver if necessary, and do cleanings too. So if you want a nice rug, then give Morry and his Oriental Rug Bazaar a try!
We stopped by Morry's out of pure convenience. We live in East Sac/River Park and it was first on our list when we embarked on a "find a rug for the front room" extravaganza.
Morry helped us determine what we wanted, was EXTREMELY generous with pricing, and pretty much sullied our experiences at the five places we visited after we left the Rug Bazaar. His selection and knowledge is unparalleled.
Truth be told, we ended up purchasing a rug at Carpiteria because it was on clearance and it was "safely neutral."
We had it for a day, went back to Morry's, and met on a price for the rug we *really* wanted. More than we were planning on spending at the start, but simply a deal we couldn't pass up. There's absolutely no comparison in quality between the rugs, as a hand made Persian rug has a look and feel that can't be replicated by something made in China. We returned the Carpiteria rug.
We'll definitely be back when we're in the market again, and won't hesitate to refer friends to Morry's. Nice people, incredible selection, super knowledgeable, and a local business to boot.
We purchased a Persian 8x10 rug from Morry about 3 years ago. It looks better every year. His price was more than fair and I am a shopper. We will return. He carries varied product but what is nice is that there is a large selection from very fine to good with prices appropriate.
I took my rug in to be appraised. I was very impressed with his knowledge. He didn't charge for appraising my rug. Who does things for free these days???? I liked him so much I went back and bought a rug for our bathroom. May be he should have charged me for the appraisal it would have been cheaper 🙂 Great store ..Great selection..and great prices. Both my wife and I fell in love with Morry... I recommend this store to everyone.
I'm really happy with my rug. I move around a lot so I kinda like having the same floor under my feet. Just feels more homey.
This is a little mom and pop sort of place, and it's floor to ceiling covered in rugs. It was cheaper than Mansoors oriental rug gallery which I also looked at. I liked that he had traditional persian style rugs and more contemporary floor covering gotten from trade in deals. He was really knowledgeable, and when I took mom there the prices we got with her haggling like a shameless asian grandma vs me alone going "uh...I have $100 what can I get?" were comparable.
Good service, selection and value. I think they deliver? I saw a big van in the back.
I visited Morry for the first time as his beautiful shop. My experience was wonderful there. His service is appealing and his prices are extremely fair. His expertise in rugs and their history is what will attract me to visit him for future purchases.
